— Overview

What Sovereign Bonds does.

Sovereign Bonds brings 195 national debt markets into one sortable table. Each row shows a 10-year benchmark yield, 5-year CDS spread, ratings in S&P, Moody's and Fitch notation, and a risk score banded from Low to Very High. Each country opens to its own sovereign-debt page.

For euro-area sovereigns, the 10-year yield is pulled live from the European Central Bank and marked with its as-of date. The ECB data is cached and refreshed on a schedule, so the table loads quickly without serving stale figures unannounced.

Outside the ECB feed, yields, spreads and ratings come from a small curated set for priority markets plus indicative values derived from the country's risk composite, and they are labelled that way. They are a starting point for screening, not a pricing source. Rating columns are not an agency feed: treat them as an indicative view and check the agency's own publication before you rely on one.

The tracker is useful because it sits next to the rest of the platform. Each sovereign links to its open tenders, its central bank and its political-risk score, so a contractor or lender can see who is buying and how well that buyer can pay.

— Capabilities

What you can do with it.

The core of Sovereign Bonds, as it works inside the platform today.

  1. One table, 195 sovereigns

Yield, CDS, three rating columns, risk score and level for every country, with a live filter by name.

  2. Live ECB yields for euro-area debt

10-year benchmark yields for EU sovereigns come straight from the European Central Bank, labelled live and stamped with the as-of date.

  3. Sovereign risk composite

Each sovereign carries a 0–100 score built from nine official dimensions: six World Bank governance indicators plus IMF debt, inflation and current account. It shows how many dimensions it covers and a confidence level, and is banded Low, Moderate, High or Very High.

  4. Per-country debt pages

Each country opens to a page with its 10-year benchmark, 5-year CDS, agency-notation ratings and risk composite.

  5. Linked to the procurement record

From any sovereign, jump to that country's notices, award intelligence, central bank and political-risk profile.

  6. Honest data provenance

Live values are labelled live. Curated and derived values are shown as reference figures and never presented as market quotes.

— Data sources

Where the data comes from.

Official and licensed institutional sources. Every record keeps its source and a link back to the original.

— Questions

Frequently asked.

Are the yields live?

Euro-area 10-year yields are live from the ECB and labelled that way. Other countries show curated or derived reference values for screening, not real-time market prices.

Where do the credit ratings come from?

They are not an agency data feed. A few priority markets carry curated values. The rest are an indicative mapping from the risk composite, written in agency notation. Always confirm against the rating agency's own publication.

What is the risk score?

A 0–100 composite of nine official dimensions: six World Bank governance indicators plus IMF government debt, inflation and current account. Higher means riskier. Each score shows how many of the nine it covers and a confidence level, and the full method is on the methodology page. It is the same score that appears in Country Intelligence.

Can I trade from this page?

No. Sovereign Bonds is an intelligence view for credit context and screening. It does not execute or route trades.
